o Increase energy

o Prevent liver disease, etc

Not only the fruit is beneficial, but also the other parts of the tree. Below are the functions of the other parts of coconut trees:

HUSKS AND SHELLS - they are a good source of fuel and charcoal. You can also use them for buffing floors. In Indonesia, shells can be used as traditional water dippers. Recently, the shells are formed into buttons and used in traditional clothes, like Batik. They can even create a sound effect of a horse's hoof-beats, so they are used in theater Foley sound effects. The dried half shells create a music effect, as used in Philippines for folk dances.

COIR - this is the fiber from the husk which is usually used in mats, ropes, brushes, caulking boats, and as stuffing fiber. People also use it for making potting compost. In India, coir is used in mattress making.
Husks and shells

LEAVES - They are traditionally used in basket making and for roofing materials. People usually wove them together to create such forms. The dried ones can be burned to ash. The stiff leaflet midribs are used to make skewers and arrows, and the bundled ones can be brooms and brushes. In Kerala India, the mid-rib of the leaves is used as a tongue-cleaner.

TRUNKS - They are used for building small bridges for their straightness, strength, and salt resistance. Hawaiians use them to form drums, containers, and even small canoes.

These coconut water shaved ice recipes take this classic dessert to the next level. It's not just a treat for kids anymore, or a vacation snack that you enjoy once every few years. Shaved ice machines are easy to find on-line and inexpensive to add to your kitchen arsenal.

Kids always love shaved ice, but adding coconut water to the mix, adds a touch of sophistication, that makes it suitable for any adult occasion. Your guests will leave dazzled, thinking about how delicious, and original, your coconut water shaved ice recipe was.

Coconut

Agua de coco is mildly sweet, helping eliminate the need for artificial sweeteners. It's also healthy and invokes visions of a tropical paradise, setting a fun and relaxing mood. Cocont water is packed with potassium and vitamin C, in addition to having many other health benefits, that include, helping with your circulation, strengthening your immune system, clearing your skin, and detoxifying your body.

Coconut Water Shaved Ice Recipes - Choco Coffee Mountain, Sweet Milk Fruit Medley and Red Bean Ice

During summer, it's great for kids or at barbeques, because it's packed with electrolytes, that help rehydrate your body 15 times better than sports drinks, like Gatorade or Vitamin Water, without the calories and artificial sweeteners.

So, here are my coconut water shaved ice recipes. Enjoy!!!

Choco Coffee Mountain Shaved Ice Recipe

For this recipe, you're going to want to brew about two to three cups of coffee with coconut water. Coconut water is mildly sweet and will be undetectable in your coffee machine after a couple of uses.

Add and mix in chocolate syrup until it dissolves in the hot coffee. When it comes to room temperature, freeze this coffee in the containers for your ice shaver.

After you shave the ice, top this sweet, chocolaty coffee treat with chocolate syrup, thin sliced candied almonds, crumbled white chocolate Oreo Hershey's, thin sliced banana and a dollop of whip cream on top. While we're at it, try adding some all natural, unsalted peanut butter in there someplace.

Nobody ever thunk it, but there it is, shaved ice taken to the next level. The next two aren't quite as complicated, but nevertheless, classics that you and your kids will love!

Sweet Milk and Fruit Medley Shaved Ice Recipe

This recipe takes me back to my childhood. I remember the fruit medley cups from my lunchbox in pre-school and then in every school cafeteria from elementary school and on. LOL, fruit medley was one of the only things besides pizza and chocolate milk that I'd eat or drink from those cafeterias. Ahhhh, the memories.

Obviously, we'll need the shaved ice machine and our pre-frozen blocks of coconut water.

Once the ice is all shaved up, drizzle some sweet condensed milk over the top, and top it with canned fruit medley. And, how about some extra condensed milk for good measure?

This one's an old school classic, enjoy!!!

Red Bean and Ice - Shaved Ice Recipe

In addition to consuming lots of shaved ice while I lived in Hawaii, my childhood consisted of many trips to "J-town," as my family would call it, or Little Tokyo, in Los Angeles. From the time I was a little kid, I can remember the hole in the wall restaurant, with a little street food booth in the front, that serves red bean ice. I'm on the cusp of my 31st birthday and still go to the same place, today.

I love this recipe, and it's a cultural treat, so I though I would share it.

You're gonna want the warm red beans, that are nice and sweet, with all the juices reduced down. You can buy these beans already prepared at any Japanese market. Serve the warm red beans in a small bowl or cup and cover them with a layer of shaved ice about one inch thick and drizzle the top with sweet condensed milk.

Ahh, so simple, but so good. This one is actually pretty healthy because, not only do you have the coco water, you have all the nutrients from the red beans as well.

Extraction of the Virgin Coconut Oil

The normal coconut oil is obtained by extracting the kernel of the dried coconuts. The main producer world wide is the Philippines. It has great uses in industry, commerce, cooking and many others. The most appreciated form of this oil is the virgin organic one.

The virgin organic oils are obtained from fresh coconuts. Unlike others oils, like the olive oil, for this oil is no government certifying its virginity. Though, in the Philippines DOST has been established. That is the Department of Science and Technology. Its standard is considered the international standard for certifying an oil as virgin and organic.

Coconut

There are 3 main methods for obtaining the virgin organic coconut oil:

Extraction of the Virgin Coconut Oil

1. First method is to quick dry the fresh coconuts' meat or kernel. After this process is completed, the oil is pressed out of it.

2. The next method consists of transforming the raw oil in coconut milk. The method is called wet-milling. The coconuts are not quick dried in this method. But rather the oil is extracted directly from the fresh coconut. Then, the oil separated from the water. The separation can be achieved through various methods such as: mechanical centrifuge, fermentation, boiling or refrigeration.

3. The final method to obtain virgin organic coconut milk is called direct micro-expelling. The method implies adjusting the water content of the coconut. After this, by pressing the fresh calibrated coconut, the oil will flow freely.

All three methods are widely used for obtaining great oil from coconuts. The actual choice of the best method depends on the result we desire to achieve. The first method will result in a watery oil, the second in a milky oil, and the final one in a milky consistent virgin oil.

No matter what method is used to extract the oil, the final virgin organic coconut oil is first of all very healthy and also presents multiple uses in many areas.

Does Coconut Oil Clog Arteries?

A frequent question that boggles people's minds, does coconut oil clog arteries? Even though the modern world has ushered the birth and the rise of fast food restaurants and more desk jobs, people are becoming more and more aware of their health. People are starting to discriminate what is bad for their health from the good things they could do to improve it. Avoiding things that could endanger your health is not just the only thing to do. You have to know the things that are good for you as well, that way, you could do the necessary steps to maintain your health.

The unfortunate thing is, you could already have clogged your arteries from consuming very oily, high fat foods and processed foods over the years. Once your arteries get clogged, the only thing you can do is to prevent the condition from further progressing. One thing you can do to prevent your arteries from getting clogged all the more is to avoid certain food items and products. Animal meats, processed foods, caffeine-containing foods, and other unhealthy food items are sources of saturated fats which could do some damage to your body. Technically, oils are fatty in nature and you might think that all oils are bad for your health. However, there are oils which are good for your body and will even make you become healthier. Examples of oils which are healthy for you are coconut oil and olive oil.

Coconut

Does coconut oil clog arteries? Before that question is answered, you should first get to know coconut oil. Unlike some of the other cooking oils, coconut oil is found out to be the healthiest oil on earth because of its composition. Coconut oil has a fatty acid composition that is unique from the other oils, or from other fats that are out there in the world. There are some reasons as to why experts would conclude that this oil is healthier above the rest.

Does Coconut Oil Clog Arteries?

Generally, oils are different from fats. Oils are liquid at room temperature while fats are solid. These two are made up of fatty acids. Essentially, fatty acids are categorized into three: short chain fatty acids, medium chain fatty acids and long chain fatty acids. Knowing the difference between these three will help you understand why some fats are harmful than the rest. Since the body will metabolize the fatty acids according to their length, it follows suit that long chain fatty acids will take longer to metabolize.

Does Coconut Oil Clog Arteries?

However, medium chain triglycerides are metabolized quite effortlessly by the body. Coconut oil is made up of 92% saturated fatty acids and it is composed of more medium chain fatty acids (MCFA) than any other fat. As a matter of fact, coconut oil is the richest source of MCFA's. These MCFA's do not travel around in your bloodstream like the long chains do. This is a reason why coconut oil will not cause blockage of your arterial walls. This oil is easy to metabolize, thus, you get more energy and it will be used by the body easily. Well, has the question, does coconut oil clog arteries, been answered?

How to Eat Coconut Oil For the Best Health Benefits

If I ask you to recommend a recipe using coconut cream, you probably thought of curry. What if I change it to coconut oil, what recipe comes to your mind then? Indeed, both provide similar nutritional and health benefits but coconut oil provides stronger health benefits due to its concentrated healthful components.

This nourishing fat protects you against heart disease (yes, contrary to what we're led to believe), diabetes, cancers, liver and kidney diseases, osteoporosis, dental decay and skin infections, viruses, yeast and fungi. It does wonders to your skin and hair too. And an excellent tool to help you lose that excess body fat.

Coconut

Let's take a look at how you can eat coconut oil to reap its full health benefits.

How to Eat Coconut Oil For the Best Health Benefits

Raw Coconut-Flavored Diets

Salad Dressing - Dribble the oil over your favorite salads to enhance the aroma and texture. But when you serve chilled salads, it's best to mix the oil with olive oil to help lower coconut oil's melting point so it won't solidify easily when in contact with chilled salads.

Spread - I love to spread 2 to 3 tablespoons of the flavorful tropical oil on two slices of wholemeal bread with a generous sprinkle of ground flaxseeds. It's a simple yet appetizing spread with high nutritional values.

Cooking with Coconut Oil to Reap Health Benefits

Sauteing, stir-frying and deep-frying - Coconut oil can withstand cooking temperature up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (177 degrees Celsius) without breaking down into toxic substances or releasing free radicals due to its very stable saturated fat structure. Basically, you can cook anything and in any way you want as long as you don't overheat it.

No matter what kind of oil, once overheated, will produce toxic by-products that can cause cancers. How do you know if you've overheated the oil? Look out for this telltale sign - it starts to smoke.

Also, foods deep-fried in it don't absorb as much oil as in other vegetable oils. So, you don't have to worry about ingesting excessive coconut oil that may turn into your fat deposits and leave an oily aftertaste when reaping its health benefits.

Baking - Learn to substitute butter, vegetable oil and shortening with coconut oil in baking as it adds sweet-smelling coconut fragrance to baked goods. As a guide, use three-quarter cup of the oil to replace 1 cup of shortening. Don't worry about setting the oven temperature at slightly above its smoke point. The moisture in the food will keep the inside temperature well below 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius).

Adding to Beverages

You can simply mix it in your hot beverage, be it tea, coffee, hot chocolate or hot soup. Though it doesn't mix well and float on the surface, it won't taste oily or leave an oily aftertaste in your mouth. In fact I enjoy the rich coconut taste in my drink very much.

Eating Coconut on Its Own for Health Benefits

I recommend a daily dosage of 3 1/2 tablespoons of coconut oil for greater health benefits for adults when you prefer to eat the oil on its own. But it'll be fine if you keep to just 1 or 2 tablespoons daily.

I'm merely giving you some ideas over here to help you obtain coconut oil's health benefits. You can in fact, generate more ideas when you explore cookbooks and recipes, create your own recipes, and learn from your friends.

Oil Pulling With Coconut Oil

Oil pulling with coconut oil is a new healing concept in the U.S., but for many years practiced in other countries such as India and China. It is completely harmless and consists of washing your mouth out with an edible oil, but not swallowing it. You can really use any kind of edible oil such as sunflower, sesame, virgin olive or coconut oil. I am going to focus on oil pulling with organic coconut oil but really any oil which is cold pressed and not refined is fine to use. It has many oral and systemic health benefits.

For the most benefits, it should become a regular part of your daily routine. It's best to start first thing in the morning on an empty stomach before eating or drinking. The recommended amount is a tablespoon of coconut oil for 15 to 20 minutes per day. For quicker results, you can do it more than once, but make sure it's at least 4 hours after you have eaten. You are swishing the oil around in your mouth, in and out of your teeth for 15 to 20 minutes without swallowing the oil, then spitting it out and rinsing your mouth out a few times.

Coconut

When done on a regular basis, it helps to detoxify the body and will begin to work the first time you try it. It doesn't work by killing germs but by drawing out the toxins from the deep crevices between the teeth, gums, and the small tube-like structures inside the teeth. The tongue and the teeth are the accessory organs for the digestive system and hold these toxins in which the oil pulling draws out.

Oil Pulling With Coconut Oil

Oil pulling is effective in healing the gums, cleansing and brightening the teeth, healing oral infections, and curing bad breath. It increases the metabolism and will help your body to lose weight, if needed. It also helps in the treatment and even curing of these diseases: allergies, mouth and gum disease, constipation, bronchitis, hormonal issues, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, asthma, eczema, migraines, insomnia, meningitis, diabetes, cancer, AIDS, kidney disease, lung disease, and chronic infections.

If you have many toxins in your body, you may experience detox symptoms when you start oil pulling. Some of these symptoms include pimples, headache, mucus, and congestion. These symptoms will disappear as you continue with the oil pulling. Since mucus drainage is one of the body's ways to remove toxins, you may experience increased flow of mucus from your throat and sinuses. This is normal to experience, it's just the body getting rid of the toxins.

It may be difficult to do the full 20 minutes of oil pulling with coconut oil at first. I recommend starting out in 5 or 10 minute increments. Just swish it for as long as you can, spit it out, then start again. Try to do it for at least 15 minutes, once per day. Practice makes perfect. Try to keep busy like during your shower, watching the news, or doing the dishes while oil pulling. When your time is up, just spit it out in the toilet and rinse a few times with warm water and them rinse again with a good mouthwash and you're done.

I have consistently done oil pulling with coconut oil with Nutiva or Nature's Way EfaGold Coconut Oil. Both are very good quality and you won't be disappointed. There are many health benefits (not just through oil pulling) with the daily use of organic coconut oil. I have been using it for a few months now and have never felt better. There is a long list of benefits associated with the daily use, whether used internally or externally.

Oil Pulling With Coconut Oil

I use organic coconut oil every day for so many things. When I found out that it can also be used for oil pulling, I was very excited. There are so many health benefits with the daily use of coconut oil, please visit my site to learn them: http://coconutoilbenefits4u.com/oil-pulling-with-coconut-oil/

Coconut Water For Weight Loss - Why This Can Help

Is coconut water for weight loss the latest fad diet, gimmick or theme for a diet book? Well, I can't say for sure, but the point of this article is not to sell you on coconut water as some kind of magical solution to losing weight, but to explain why this can, when combined with other sensible practices, really help.

First of all, water itself is an important key to both good health in general and maintaining (or attaining) your ideal body weight. Water keeps your metabolism running smoothly. It keeps you hydrated when you exercise -which you should be doing if you want to lose weight. You've probably heard by now that you should drink eight glasses (or so) of water per day for optimal health. Many people read this, but still don't drink enough water.

Coconut

So where does the coconut enter the picture? Coconut oil has been getting quite a bit of attention in the health community recently. While some people, especially advocates of low fat diets, believe -or used to believe- that coconut oil is not healthy because it contains fat, more recent research shows that it's a healthy kind of fat. It's part of the paradox that some health experts have noticed --namely, that many traditional people have, for centuries or even millennia, been eating diets high in fat but have suffered virtually none of the diseases --and obesity-- that are common today. Coconut oil is an example of a natural, high quality fat that is very healthy.

Coconut Water For Weight Loss - Why This Can Help

Now coconut water is a less concentrated form of this very healthy fruit, the coconut. But it is still very healthy. There are only a few things you can put into water that do not dilute it and make it less healthy. One is lemon. Another is coconut. Both are alkalizing, and help the body in many ways, such as digestion, blood sugar control and metabolism.

It is not recommended that you drink only coconut water. You should always drink plenty of pure water with nothing else added (though a slice of lemon would never hurt). But drinking coconut water every day would be a very beneficial addition to your liquid intake, especially if you can consume this instead of less healthy cold beverages such as soda or even most juices (which tend to be very high in sugars, even if they are natural sugars). For warm beverages, try green tea or hoodia. As far as coconut water goes, find a source of it that is natural and doesn't contain extra sweeteners.

Now, once again, don't expect coconut water by itself to make you magically lose weight. Several cups of this every day can really help kick your metabolism into gear, but it's still up to you to burn off those calories by getting regular exercise. And, it goes without saying (or it really should!) that you can't eat a high calorie, unhealthy diet and expect to make up for it by consuming one or two healthy things (such as green tea or coconut water).

Coconut water can be a great and very beneficial addition to an overall weight loss program. It's a good tasting beverage that can turn into a healthy habit.

Coconut Cream And Its Health Benefits

People generally use coconut cream in curries, desserts and cakes. That's because it enhances the aroma and tastes of the dishes and you can obtain it easily and cheaply from your nearby supermarket or grocery store. However, few people ever realize how coconut cream benefits their health greatly which leads to many avoiding it like a plague due to its high saturated fat content. Especially for those who want to lose weight.

But do you know that coconut cream actually carries good saturated fat that benefits your health and weight loss by easily converting to energy as soon as your body absorbs it, just like what your body does on carbohydrate? In other words, it doesn't transform into bad cholesterol which clogs up your arteries and triggers heart problems and stroke. Most importantly, it doesn't cause weight gain as easily as what most people think.

Coconut

Its lauric acid content (which scientists and researchers found in human breast milk) also helps you fight intrusive viruses, bacteria, promote normal brain development and contribute to healthy bones. And its anti-carcinogenic and anti-pathogenic properties can keep cancer at bay too. So, how can anyone deny coconut cream's health benefits when it actually gives you so much powerful protection?

Coconut Cream And Its Health Benefits

But don't get me wrong. I'm not asking you to indulge in this healthful yummy cream. You take too much of it, like any other health foods, you'll still heap on excess calories and gain weight as a result. So it's alright to consume in moderation in order to reap its health benefits without getting its disadvantages.

Speaking of disadvantages, coconut cream / milk turns sour easily, so make sure you refrigerate it once opened and right after use. Try to finish up the cream / milk within a few days in less than a week - best, used it asap. The longer it stays unused though in the fridge, it'll still turn rancid.

Although freezing may not necessarily curdle the cream / milk (depending on the quality), I advise you to avoid freezing it as far as possible because if it does curdle, cooking with it will give whatever dishes an unappealing, curdled appearance.

I always go with advices and methods to reap coconut cream's health benefits as best as I can without compromising its flavor and appearance on the dishes. If you can't make your dishes look appealing, you simply won't have the appetite to eat it, let alone absorbing whatever health benefits coconut cream can bring you, agree?

Coconut Oil - A Natural Mouth Ulcer Cure

A mouth ulcer is an open wound in the mouth where tender nerve endings are exposed and can often cause extreme pain to the person who is affected with them especially when they can become irritated. Often a person suffering from mouth ulcers will find it difficult to eat, drink and sometimes even talk and unfortunately these exposed ulcers are vulnerable to infection by bacteria that is find in our mouth and unfortunately create even more pain.

Many mouth ulcers often seem to start off as a small bubble or blister which then becomes open and ulcerated and this is when the pain really starts. However, they can be caused accidentally by someone biting themselves or there lips are so dry that they crack and then the ulcers begin to form on their lips.

Coconut

Normally mouth ulcers are caused by either virus, bacteria or fungus and may result in the body's own immune system attacking the mucosal lining of the mouth. In some cases people who suffer from either Ulcerative Colitis or Crohn's Disease (intestinal conditions) may find themselves suffering from mouth ulcers also.

Coconut Oil - A Natural Mouth Ulcer Cure

A good way of treating mouth ulcers is with coconut oil which kills the bacteria that causes them. It is also good for treating throat infections, gum disease and cavities. Certainly the Pacific Islanders who have a coconut based diet have excellent dental health and rarely suffer from mouth ulcers even when they have never brushed their teeth or used floss or anti-bacterial mouthwash.

Certainly coconut oil is ideal for helping to relieve the pain felt from mouth ulcers instantly all you need is get a tablespoon of coconut oil and hold it for a minute on the mouth ulcer. Soon you will feel the pain going away and this relief seems to last for quite a while because of the MCFA's (medium chain fatty acids) find in coconut oil which are rapidly absorbed in to the body and thus the healing process is accelerated.

The way coconut oil works is that it has anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties and which can help to combat viruses, bacteria and fungus that can be found in a persons mouth and will cause ulcers. The MCFA's which are in coconut oil also help to enhance the body's own immune system and thus help it to fight viruses, fungus and bacterial problems. Also coconut oil is great for helping a person's intestinal system by killing any fungi found in the intestinal tract.

Above are a number of reasons as to why coconut oil can not only help to treat and heal mouth ulcers but also to help prevent them from forming. Also coconut oil is not messy to apply to the ulcer and is completely edible and natural.

From a Nurse-Using Coconut Oil as a Treatment For Eczema

Sometimes one has to resort to alternative, natural eczema treatment methods to get the best cure or results for their eczema problem. And often it's a better choice, due to less exposure to drugs and chemical-laden products.

It should always be the first treatment to consider when you want to take the best care of your skin.

Coconut

First of all, eczema and dermatitis are often referring to the same thing in the medical world. They cover a variety of inflammations of the most outer portion of the skin. There are three different, broad types of eczema.

From a Nurse-Using Coconut Oil as a Treatment For Eczema

The type of eczema depends on the cause and where it occurs on the body. The types are basically, allergies, rashes, and nutritional deficiencies. The eczemas include atopic, dyshidrotic and nummular eczema.

Naturally you'll want to eliminate any internal cause of eczema as in non-contact allergies, rashes, and nutritional deficiencies.

For local causes of eczema such as contact dermatitis, you want to avoid having your skin come into contact with the offending item.

It could be jewelry, perfumes, chemicals in any cosmetics, shellac in mascara, lipstick, nickel, lotions, soaps, fabric softener sheets, pesticides from contact around the mouth, latex gloves, etc.

I'm assuming here that you already have a diagnosis of eczema.

The best thing I've found to heal eczema is extra virgin coconut oil. It works better than eczema creams, which are usually chemical-laden products, whether for babies, teens or adults.

Make sure you're working on eliminating the cause of your eczema, whether internal or external, which we won't go into here.

Extra virgin coconut oil has helped many I know to help heal the skin. Ultimately, of course, the immune system and body do the healing if you were to do nothing, but coconut oil can speed up the process.

If you also have acne it'll treat acne too and is better than most chemical acne products.

You want to make sure you get the extra virgin type that is not refined, bleached or deodorized. You can order it online.

Whole food-type markets are carrying more coconut oil, in pint and quart jars and especially the extra virgin coconut oil. Get the organic kind if you can.

Coconut oil cures many other skin conditions and skin disorders too, besides making the skin soft and smooth. I use it for everything including as a make-up remover and under my foundation. My skin is always soft, silky, smooth, and free of rashes, bumps, blemishes, blisters, etc.

It stops itching and flaking too.

Coconut oil is very inexpensive therefore, a good, cheap home remedy. Keep it around to treat any other skin problem. It's actually healthy to eat too. It's a plant saturated fat, not an animal saturated fat.

I add two big tablespoons to my smoothies, to help my skin from the inside out too, and have been doing so for many years.

Although we refer to it as coconut oil, it isn't actually oil until the temperature climbs above 77 degrees. It can be applied when it is in the oil-state or non-oil state.

To apply the extra virgin coconut oil, massage it deep into the affected area. You can heat it if you like but you don't have to. Depending on how severe the eczema is, apply it three or four times a day or more and especially at bedtime.

It's important to keep the area moist with the oil. You may have to apply a loose bandage to your skin, soaked with the oil. If the eczema is on your hands, you'll have to apply it even more often.

Also you can expose the area to direct sunlight for 20 minutes or so each day. You'll get your daily dose of vitamin D that way too.

Many have used coconut oil as a treatment to cure or heal their eczema or their baby's eczema.

It just takes motivation, a willingness to try it, and diligent application of coconut oil several times each day and at bedtime.

And your eczema and its symptoms, providing you've removed the cause, should go away. Continue using coconut oil and good clear skin will be your reward.

Coconut Oil Benefits For Dogs

If you are already using coconut oil you might have wondered if it's as healthy for dogs as it is for you. The answer is positively yes. There are many benefits to feeding your pup this healthy oil. Most dogs love the taste, making it one of the easiest, natural supplements to feed.

o Control doggy odors without excessive bathing. Virgin coconut oil deodorizes anything it comes in contact with and it helps to deodorize my Shelties as well.
o Use as doggy toothpaste. The dogs will lick it off the toothbrush so I have to be fast when brushing their teeth.
o Helps with any skin problems such as allergies, dermatitis, dry flaky skin and itchy skin. Helps heal sores. Add it to their food and use on their body for best results. It is very slow absorbing so you can give a doggy massage for a few minutes to let it soak in.
o Gives super shiny fur without extra expensive and time of using coat conditioners.
o Helps to trim down a thick canine waistline. Coconut oil is gaining respect for being a fat burning food. I've been feeding my Shelties about a tablespoon on their food and they have lost that roll of belly fat.
o Many dogs have found relief from painful arthritis, sore joints due to over exercise and age related stiffness.
o It has been shown to help balance the thyroid in people and their canine friends.
o Improves digestion, prevents and helps stomach problems in dogs and people.
o Prevents and helps control yeast infections, ear infections and viral infections.
o Conditions dry cracked paws.
o Helps to detox, very important if your dog has been raiding the garbage or eating a low quality food.

Coconut

Use only organic virgin coconut oil. Start slowly with a half teaspoon a day for each 20 pounds of body weight. It's best to divide it and give a little though out the day. Work up to a full teaspoon once or twice a day for a 20 pound dog.

Coconut Oil Benefits For Dogs

If your dog seems to feel bad and has loose or greasy looking stools you should cut back on the oil for a few days. Remember that coconut oil helps to detox the body so you need to give it in very small doses so your dog doesn't feel the effects of detoxing all at once.

Coconut Oil - Best Natural Acne Treatment

Consider cheaper, alternative, natural, effective treatment methods to get the best care for and clear up your acne, zit, pimple or blackhead problem; and coconut oil is the best treatment I've found. Yes, you can do it -- look better, feel better, and raise your self-esteem by getting rid of your acne cheaply, naturally and for good. While most forms of acne are merely troublesome or embarrassing, there are some forms of acne that can lead to scarring and pitting of the skin.

People of all races and ages have acne. Acne is one of most common skin conditions in the world, affecting more than 40 million people. Nearly 80 percent of people from ages 11 to 30 years have acne, most often on the face, chest and back. For most people, acne goes away by age 30, but people in their forties and fifties still suffer from acne.

Coconut

Experts just can't agree on what causes acne. Acne, zits, pimples, blackheads, whiteheads and many other skin disorders are usually, but not always, the result of a bad diet. I think the cause of acne is related to our acidic, inflammatory 'standard American diet' (SAD) and that would also influence all of our hormones including stress hormones.

Coconut Oil - Best Natural Acne Treatment

Since the latest research indicates a connection between stress and acne, make an effort to cut down on stress any way you can. One treatment method some people have used is applying cornstarch, egg whites or milk of magnesia as a facial mask. When you wash your face use a soft touch, taking care not to rub or scrub your skin.

There are many natural acne home remedies; you may have to try several to find one that works best for your skin type. Shave carefully and try both electric and safety razors to see which works best for you. For the best acne treatment, which has worked for many, apply virgin coconut oil to the area daily; try it on a small test area for a day or two first.

It's always best to seek non-invasive and natural treatment for any skin condition. Treatment with raw apple cider vinegar will work better on your skin if it isn't already noticeably irritated from acne medicines, acne products or other failed treatment. No over-the-counter creams can help your acne from the inside out; they can only kill some of the bacteria on your face and help reduce the redness.

Besides acne, if you also have eczema or dry skin, coconut oil will treat those skin conditions too. Most commercial cleansers are harsh on the face and trying to find the right one for you could cost a fortune. You want to avoid squeezing, pinching, picking or popping your pimples because it can cause scars or leave dark spots on your skin.

Coconut oil is very inexpensive; it's a good, cheap, natural home remedy. Coconut oil is one of the best, if not the best, treatments I've found for acne. Apply it daily, throughout the day if possible and at bedtime. Get the unrefined, unbleached type found at health-oriented food stores like Whole Foods or Wild Oats or order it online.

In any case, no matter what skin or acne treatment you choose, whether it's chemical, drugs, alternative, or natural methods, changing your diet alone will be the best treatment you can do for your acne and you'll achieve overall good health in the process. Drink lots and lots of pure, filtered water every day. Besides external acne treatment it's even more important to work from the inside out too.

Some alternative doctors recommend eating a raw clove of garlic daily for acne; you can chop one up and add it to your daily salad! Whether you eat a natural diet of living fruits and vegetables or eat dead junk food, what you eat may have a direct or indirect affect on the male hormones which may or may not play some part in acne.

Eating fruits that are red or orange in color will help improve you skin health and help to prevent acne. Eat high-fiber snacks like raw nuts, raw seeds, fresh or dried fruit, such as dates, and figs. Use olive oil with a little very fresh flaxseed oil in your salads.

Drink plenty of pure, filtered water, a minimum of a quart a day. Eating foods with essential fatty acids are particularly important to people with dry skin or acne.

Now you don't have to be one of the unlucky ones left behind because of a lack of knowledge. And you should be able to get rid of your acne, zits and pimples and their symptoms so it doesn't reoccur. There are many acne products on the market today, some are good, some are cheap and some are not good or cheap; no one knows but you what will work for you.

Coconut Oil For Acne - Does It Really Work?

Coconut essential oil is actually oil from mature coconuts. It's been used for meals for years and years, however, many individuals are unaware you can use it outwardly to battle acne breakouts along with other skin disorders, for example eczema.

Exactly how coconut essential oil treats acne breakouts

Coconut

The concept that using oil on the pores and skin may help acne breakouts seems ridiculous in the beginning -- many people with acne breakouts wish to have less oil on the skin.

Coconut Oil For Acne - Does It Really Work?

However it requires a lot more than extra sebum in order to trigger acne breakouts, and that helps to explain exactly how coconut oil can help with acne breakouts.

To get acne you'll need a couple of things: obstructed skin pores and irritation. It is irritation that turns obstructed skin pores in to red and angry acne. You get irritation whenever your immune system attacks the germs residing in obstructed follicles.

Coconut essential oil helps you to stop irritation, and hence additionally, it may stop acne breakouts.

The magic is in 2 essential fatty acids, lauric acid and capric acid. On the human skin they are changed into anti-bacterial and anti-viral ingredients. Simply put. Coconut essential oil eliminates the acne causing germs on the pores and skin. And with the germs eliminated there is nothing for your immune system to respond to. What this means is much less irritation and fewer acne breakouts.

Coconut is also full of e vitamin, which is a well-known pores and skin nutrient. Vitamin E helps you to calm irritation and fix scare tissue.

Therefore it does the same thing those costly skin lotions claim that they can perform.

Using coconut essential oil for acne breakouts

Here is how to use coconut essential oil for acne breakouts:

Using your favored facial cleanser clear your skin completely. Do not skip this task as it can certainly result in more breakouts!

Steam your face through placing a hand towel over your head and inclined on the bowl of warm water.

Massage a tiny bit of coconut essential oil on your face.

Wring away the facecloth in hot water and hang it over your face. This enables the actual essential oil to go deep into the pores and skin.

Wait for few minutes and wipe your face clean.

Using coconut oil this way likewise helps to eliminate acne scarring.

Amazing benefits internally

The actual amazing benefits associated with coconut essential oil aren't restricted to exterior use. It is also an excellent friend in the kitchen. Coconut (and its essential oil) not just tasted great, but it might help acne breakouts as well as your all around health.

It will help your body to battle Candida as well as yeast infections (each of which tend to be associated with acne). This reduces persistent inflammation helping to avoid blood sugar levels surges. Chronic inflammation and blood sugar levels shifts would be the primary causes of grownup acne breakouts.

Caution, not for everybody

Although numerous acne sufferers recommend coconut essential oil, it isn't for everybody. In some instances it may make your breakouts even worse.

It would appear that coconut oil may stimulate your skin glands to create more natural oils. This may trigger more acne breakouts for some people, and particularly if your follicles tend to be obstructed. This is exactly why you need to clear your face completely before you apply the essential oil.

Sadly there is no way to know ahead of time exactly how the skin responds. Therefore begins gradually and find out what goes on.

Not an end all and be all acne remedy

Coconut essential oil is by no means the be all and end all acne remedy. Make sure you remember that breakouts are an interior issue. Obstructed skin pores as well as acne are only a characteristic of much deeper problems (for example blood sugar levels shifts and persistent inflammation).

To conquer adult acne breakouts completely you have to consider an all natural method that can take into consideration your diet plan, way of life as well as psychological well being (tension).

Coconut essential oil won't resolve the main reason for acne breakouts, however it will help keep the acne breakouts in check as you correct the actual issues.

Coconut Vinegar Benefits and Uses

There seems to be not enough exposure on the uses and health benefits of Natural Coconut Vinegar.

The whole world needs to know more about this unique and tasty product which is a traditional food in the Philippines and many other Asian countries. The versatility and goodness of this vinegar can be enjoyed in so many ways and I'm going to share some of them with you.

Coconut

Coconut Vinegar is traditionally collected in the Philippines, by tree climbers who climb to where the stem that bears the flowers and fruits are, and cut the ends of the stems so it doesn't bear fruit anymore. The remaining stems are then placed inside cylinders to catch the nectar (locally called "tuba") that seeps out, which would normally feed the growing fruits.

Coconut Vinegar Benefits and Uses

Tree climbers go from tree to tree each day collecting the nectar caught in these cylinders. Once collected, the nectar ferments in about 40 to 60 days with the colour changing from a cloudy white, to a clear yellow to a brownish colour which is a natural occurrence of the fermentation process.

Natural Coconut Vinegar is rich in Vitamins and alkalising minerals like Potassium, Beta-Carotene, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorous and Sodium and also contains anti-oxidants which makes this natural food such a great part of your diet for the benefits it provides. This humble food which is inexpensive and adds life to your gourmet foods actually nourishes you with its goodness as well.

The versatility of this natural vinegar is limited only by your imagination when it comes to food menus in particular. I have used it in soups, salad dressings, dips and recipes where you just replace other vinegars with Coconut Vinegar. When mixed with your choice of spices, the Coconut Vinegar suddenly transforms into a uniquely flavoured table sauce which can be used for dipping grilled meats, specially grilled pork, Chicken or beef steaks. It is also delicious with seafood.

Coconut Vinegar is naturally made and contains no artificial additives. The fermentation is activated by digestion friendly probiotic organisms, which is always good as you tend to enjoy your meals even more when you discover the great taste of this uniquely flavoured table sauce, which you can use everyday. Being a natural preservative, there is no concern for the shelf life and in fact can also be used by passionate pickle enthusiasts to create their own variation of pickles.

Most Filipino and Asian stores around the world would stock this vinegar as it is a traditional staple food in coconut growing regions in Asia. Coconut Vinegar is only one of the multitude of products which come from the wonder that is the Coconut tree.

Pregnant Women Go Nuts - For Coconuts!

In many tropical countries, coconuts have long been lauded as having fertility and pregnancy enhancing properties. In India, for example, a woman hoping to conceive will go to her priest for a special coconut; Thai babies receive, as their first solid food, three spoonfuls of soft coconut meat from their priests; a Balinese woman is forbidden to touch a coconut tree for fear she will drain its fertility into her own; and pregnant women from tropical countries consume large amounts of coconut water, hoping to increase their unborn child's strength and vitality.

Folklore aside, there is now scientific evidence of the numerous health benefits of coconuts. While these health-boosting properties extend to everyone, they can be particularly beneficial to pregnant women. Here are some of the amazing ways the coconut can be a pregnant woman's best friend:

Coconut

o It alleviates vomiting - coconut water has long been used as a remedy for typhoid, malaria and other illness-induced vomiting. Thus, it should also help mitigate a bad case of morning sickness.

Pregnant Women Go Nuts - For Coconuts!

o It soothes the stomach - in addition to offering some relief from vomiting, coconut water can quell a queasy tummy and lessen the symptoms of nausea.

o Virgin coconut oil balances blood sugar and controls diabetes - this also helps keep morning sickness in check and offers some protection against gestational diabetes, a potentially dangerous condition common among pregnant women.

o It alkalizes the body - high in potassium, magnesium and other alkalizing minerals, coconut water can help to create an environment more conducive to conception and perhaps even reduce the risk of miscarriage.

o It keeps the body hydrated - nature's "sports drink", coconut water replaces fluids and minerals lost during physical exertion as well as those extra needed to help support pregnancy and expanding blood volume. Dehydration can be particularly threatening during pregnancy.

o It is a mild laxative - drinking moderate amounts of coconut water can help to keep things running smoothly and relieve the constipation so common during pregnancy.

o It cleanses the kidneys and offers protection against UTI's - Urinary Tract Infections are very common during pregnancy and can be dangerous if antibiotics are not used to treat them. Best to avoid them all together!

o It keeps the body cool - with excess weight, progesterone, and anxiety, it's easy to get overheated during pregnancy. Drinking coconut water helps to regulate body temperature and keep you cool.

o It is great for skin - virgin coconut oil can be applied to soothe the dry, itchy skin associated with pregnancy; it may also help to reduce the occurrence of stretch marks; and, when applied to the perineum in the weeks leading up to labor, can help reduce tearing during birth. Coconut water applied to the face helps to clear blackheads and acne that many women experience with the surge of hormones during pregnancy.

o It boosts the immune system - virgin coconut oil is comprised of nearly 50% lauric acid, which has been shown to have antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties. This can help protect a mother-to-be from a host of potentially threatening infections as well as boost her immunity, which is naturally weakened during pregnancy.

o It promotes healthy lactation - the only other significant source of lauric acid is human breast milk. Research has shown that lactating mothers who consume virgin coconut oil and other coconut products have higher levels of lauric and capric acids in their breast milk; this increases its antimicrobial and immune boosting properties, while promoting both brain and bone development in the infant. Since the body stores lauric acid in the adipose tissues, consuming coconut during pregnancy may also help to ensure successful lactation.

With all that in mind, pregnant women would be nuts not to go for coconuts!

Preparing Fresh Coconut - Some Handy Tips

Coconuts feature in many different kinds of cooking and you can make both savory and sweet recipes with them. Grated coconut can be added to a soup or stew, to give it an eastern flavor. It can be used to top cakes and cheesecake recipes.

The coconut milk is both a thickener and a flavoring agent for certain Thai, Japanese, and African recipes and it can also be used to make cocktails and other creamy drinks. A lot of people avoid buying fresh coconut because they are unsure how to prepare it, so the following tips should be very useful.

Coconut

How to Open a Coconut

Preparing Fresh Coconut - Some Handy Tips

Monkeys open coconuts by throwing them at rocks, which is not a bad method! Do not be concerned about losing the liquid if you try this approach because this is not the milk that you use to cook with. A coconut can break into three or four pieces when you throw it at something to break it.

Another way of opening a coconut is to pierce the eyes using a screwdriver or ice pick. Drain the liquid out of the holes, and then cook the coconut in a 400 degrees F oven for twenty minutes. Next, wrap it in a towel and then hit it with a hammer. The shell should loosen and break into pieces. Pick out the white flesh and pare the dark skin off.

How to Grate Coconut Flesh

The easiest way to grate the white flesh of a coconut is to use a grater or the grating disk in your food processor. Two coconuts should give you seven cups of grated coconut. You can store this for a couple of days in the refrigerator.

How to Get Coconut Milk from a Coconut

Many people believe that the clear juice that runs out of a coconut when you break it or pierce the eyes is the coconut milk, but this is not true. The coconut milk is made when you combine grated coconut with the milk inside the coconut.

Mix a few cups of grated coconut with the milk of the coconut in a heavy pot. A good guideline is to use three quarters of a cup of loosely packed, grated coconut per cup of coconut milk. Heat the mixture slowly until it reaches a simmer, and then let it cool down. Strain the coconut milk through a sieve, pressing down to squeeze all the liquid out of the grated pieces of coconut. You can squeeze it through a towel to get every last drop.

Another way to make coconut milk is to combine the scooped out white flesh from a coconut with a cup and a half of hot water in a blender. Process the mixture in the blender until it is smooth. You can vary the amount of water to use, if you want thicker or thinner coconut milk. Strain the coconut milk through a cheesecloth, and then wring the cheesecloth to get all the coconut milk out.

Coconut - Super Fat, Slimming Fat? The Health & Weight Loss Benefits of Coconut

We are comfortable & familiar with using Coconut in topical creams, it is useful in treating eczema, dry skin, psoriasis, & dermatitis. Indeed, Coconut oil has been found to heal cuts, scratches, burns and sunburns.

As a food, coconut is tasty, sweet, & highly nutritious. Coconuts are rich in fiber, vitamins & minerals. As a food it is multi-purpose, as you can use the meat, the juice, milk or oil.

Coconut

Coconuts are anti-oxidants.

But populations such as the pacific islands, where coconuts grow in abundance & are a staple food have long recognised the medicinal benefits of the coconut.

Coconut has a high ratio of lauric acid (one of the only other potent sources of lauric acid, is human breast milk), which converts in the body into monolauric, which has been proven to destroy a huge variety of disease causing organisms.

Indeed, coconuts have been cited as having health benefits from conditions such as asthma, constipation and sore throats. They kill bacteria, viruses, funghi & yeasts in the body.

Coconuts are particularly effective in improving digestion, and treating digestive disorders. They also aid in the absorption of other key vitamins & minerals, particularly zinc & magnesium (nutrients that modern western societies are frequently deficient in). They also notably help prevent kidney & liver disorders & diseases.

Furthermore, coconuts contain capric acid, which has been shown to have anti-viral effects against sexually transmitted diseases such as chlamydia, herpes and, current research suggests, even HIV.

Coconuts have been proven to have other remarkable physiological effects, including as an anti-histamine, anti-septic, immune system booster and anti-cancer agent.

Coconut water is a natural isotonic beverage with immune boosting qualities and nutrients. It contains high levels potassium, calcium & magnesium. Coconut water has less calories and sodium than most soft drinks, and other juices.

But it is the coconut oil itself that is most of interest. As a fat, coconut oil is significantly lower in calories than other fats. Yes, it is a saturated fat, but that is not necessarily a bad thing as we have come to think. In fact, people who have a diet high in coconut have been shown to have a lower rate of heart diseases and cancer, than unsaturated fat eaters.

Coconut oil is stable to cook with at high temperatures, partly due to that coconuts grow in temperatures up to one hundred degrees. It is completely non-toxic to humans, even after high temperature cooking methods, as it doesn't form harmful by-products when heated like other vegetable oils do.

It is also easy to store, room temperature does not have any detrimental effects on the oil. It does not go rancid unlike commonly used oils, such as olive oil, and can be comfortably kept for over a year without going rancid.

Also, other oils can deplete the body of antioxidants, but coconut oil is an antioxidant in itself. Coconut oil helps prevent the development of goiters (enlarged thyroid) because of its iodine content.

So what is it that's so different about coconut oil? The difference is in the structure of the fat molecules. Coconut oil being composed mainly of medium-chain fatty acids (MCFA) or medium-chain triglycerides (MCT's), as compared to long chain fatty acids (LCFA) which most fats are.

MCTs are smaller, and therefore, more easily digestible in the human body, MCTs are used by the body to produce fuel, boosting metabolism & stimulating thyroid function. Sluggish thyroid, or hypothyroidism, is a key cause of weight gain in western societies. MCTs also have a positive effect on cholesterol. MCTs also inhibit the liver's formation of fat.

The metabolism boost from consuming coconut oil in place of more conventional cooking oils can last for up to 24 hours, so calories can burn at a higher rate throughout that period. It is for this reason, that more and more weight loss success stories are emerging from people using coconut oil as a key part of their weight loss programs.

So how do you start to introduce coconut into your diet? Most health food stores, and a multitude of online companies now stock Virgin Coconut Oil. It has a mild, slightly sweeter taste, which makes it ideal for Asian cookery, Indian recipes, and stir fries. It's stable characteristic at high temperatures also make it an ideal fat to use for baking. Also, the slightly sweeter nature of coconut oil makes it an excellent choice when making tomato based sauces, without the need to add artificial sweetness.

Since embarking on this research it was certainly enough to persuade me to use coconut oil for a lot of my hot food preparation.

However, it is important to point out that coconut oil is not a replacement for essential fatty acids (EFAs) such as Omega 3, but has a positive role in a balanced & nutritious diet, with "good" fats a vital and integral part of our diet.

Virgin Coconut Oil - Everything You Need to Know

Some years ago, coconut oil used to receive flak. It was the culprit behind high blood pressure, heart diseases and other cardiovascular problems. Because commercial coconut oils are refined, bleached or deodorized, it has already lost most of its nutritive properties, making it an "unhealthy oil" that is high in trans fats. This view still persists up to this day.

While warranted, this perception is not entirely true. Virgin coconut oil or VCO is a very healthy oil that provides a lot of immense health benefits. Dr. Conrado Dayrit, one of the pioneers of the study of the effects of VCO in the Philippines, shows that it is, in fact, a "drugstore in a bottle." Not only was it found effective in reducing the viral load of patients with HIV, it has also been found effective in the treatment of other infections like psoriasis, flu, cancer and other degenerative conditions.

Coconut

Virgin coconut oil is fresh-pressed from coconut meat. It does not undergo any processing so its natural components remain unchanged. In the colorless, pure and fresh VCO are medium chain triglycerides or MCTs which makes it easily digestible. Bile is not needed to digest VCO and since it is rapidly assimilated in the body, the metabolic rate and energy levels rise. This results to having more calories burned. Thus, if you are on the road to losing weight, using VCO for your cooking needs will get you there faster. It is even better compared to using oils from safflower or canola which have long chain triglycerides or LCT. Because medium chain triglycerides increases energy expenditure and depresses food intake, it is a natural weight loss aid.

Virgin Coconut Oil - Everything You Need to Know

Lauric and caprilic acids are the types of medium chain triglycerides found in virgin coconut oil. These have anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties that are essential to disease treatment and prevention. In fact, in the study conducted from 1999 to 2000 by Dr. Dayrit in patients afflicted with HIV at the San Lazaro Hospital in Metro Manila, Philippines, the viral load of patients was shown to be significantly reduced with regular intake of VCO. Aside from its benefits to HIV, VCO has also been shown to be effective in fighting strep, herpes, parasitic and yeast infections. Candida albicans is a fungus that lives in an individual's digestive tract. Varieties which have been shown to be resistant to current pharmacological medications have shown positive response to VCO.

The benefits of virgin coconut oil also extend to giving individuals lustrous skin and hair. A little application of VCO daily prevents wrinkles. Instead of using lotions that are full of synthetic ingredients, VCO can also be applied liberally to the skin to prevent it from drying or chafing. VCO is also effective in the treatment of dandruff, cradle cap in babies and generally itchy scalp. It also improves the condition of the hair.

In the United States, VCO is available in most health food stores. You can also order it online. If the taste is too "oily" for you, you can simply use it in your day-to-day cooking, adding small amounts to your recipes. If taste is not an issue, you can consume one to three tablespoons a day.

The Coconut Oil Diet: How to Burn Belly Fat With Coconut Oil

When attempting to lose weight, oil is usually the last thing that one would want to increase the consumption of. However, coconut oil is a definite exception to this weight loss rule. Extracted from none other than the coconut seed, coconut oil has been used for centuries as a natural remedy for an array of ailments and to promote the overall health of the body.

Fat Loss

Coconut

Rather than sluggishly meandering its way into your body's fat posits, this oil is actually very easily burned by the body and it also helps to burn other fatty tissues in the body. This is due to the fact that it is made up of medium chain fatty acids (MCFA's) instead of long chain fatty acids (LCFA's) as most oils are. This means that coconut oil is easily absorbed into the liver and used for fuel. Furthermore, this also helps to burn off the stubborn LCFA's as, when the liver is overworked due to toxins, trans fats, sugars, alcohol, drugs, etc. it becomes sluggish and thus, cannot metabolize fat properly. Once it gets your liver running more efficiently, it literally jump starts your metabolism and thus, increases your fat loss. This is especially affective in problem areas such as the belly, where un-metabolized fats are known to dwell. What's more, it is also said to stabilize glucose levels which also promotes weight loss because a stable glucose level makes it easier to make healthy food choices instead of going for that quick fix of junk food with high sugar and fat content.

Hair and Skin- Since coconut oil contains some essential proteins, it can be used as a natural moisturizer for the hair and skin. If massaged into the scalp regularly, it can help to prevent dandruff as well as lice. It can also an affective treatment against damaged and shedding hair.

The Coconut Oil Diet

Interestingly enough, although it's commonly referred to as the "coconut oil diet", it really isn't a diet, (in the customary sense of the word) at all. The basis of the coconut oil diet involves swapping fats such as vegetable oil, lard, etc. for this oil. That is to say, you will use coconut oil as your primary oil for cooking, frying, and baking. You can even add it to your morning smoothie or shake if you don't use oils for cooking very often, or just want to add it as an additional supplement. This diet had been known to help many lose pounds and pounds of belly fat fairly quickly.

Overall

Remember that there is no such thing as a miracle worker in terms of losing weight, and especially stubborn belly fat. If you choose to implement the coconut diet remember to consult with your physician or health adviser as, although there are very few known side effects, your physician may have some key elements to your personal health.

Furthermore, coconut oil is not a miracle worker, it is much more effective when used in conjunction with an overall balanced diet, as well as exercise plan.
